If you want to save data , you often have to save the hard drive first in order to get any data at all. A hard drive is its own self-contained system with mechanical, electromagnetic and electronic parts. These as a whole make up the hardware.

But for everything to work, a hard drive needs its own operating system, also called firmware or microcode, which ensures that a normal computer system recognizes the hard drive and is able to recognize and interpret data on it.

hard disk recovery

This is primarily ensured by a hard magnetic coating on the rotating metal discs.
Different parts of this coating are magnetized and the information is saved. Remanence (permanence) ensures that certain crystals retain enough magnetism even after the magnetic field has been switched off (current off) so that the information they represent is not lost. So we have a condition on the magnetic discs inside the hard drive that could be described as: magnetized, not magnetized.

This represents the numbers 0 and 1 in the binary system.
The individual magnetized parts are now recognized by a reading head made of ferrite ceramics through the induction (injection) of a small voltage in the ferrite ceramic head and the signals are passed on. The smaller the magnetized particles are on the hard-magnetically coated disk, the more information can be stored. Hard drives that are almost identical in construction can therefore have completely different storage capacities.

When writing the data onto the coating, the read head works as a write head like a small electromagnet and magnetizes the particles that are instructed by the system.

If the coating is defective or damaged in such a way that the reading heads can no longer hover at the required distance (much smaller than a hair or a particle of dust) to detect the magnetic recordings, it is impossible to save the hard drive in terms of detecting Data.

If only the read head or write head is defective, the specialists at Stellar Datenrettung can open the hard drive in a class 100 clean room and replace the head system with another compatible and working system and start repairing the hard drive.
